We had a short one-night stay at this cozy lodge and were instantly welcomed by the friendly hosts. The intimate atmosphere and comfortable rooms made us feel right at home. The scenic view from our room was truly breathtaking, and the lodge itself was beautifully decorated with lovely art pieces. Despite our brief visit, we appreciated the abundance of facilities available. The delicious breakfast and great coffee were definite highlights. We cannot wait to return for a longer stay!

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The lodge had a private spa pool overseeing the lake, a short walk to swim, and a dinner out. The furnishings were gorgeous and comfortable. The hosts were lovely, creating a hospitable atmosphere. The room was exceptional, very large, and provided every comfort.

From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was at home. The hosts, Rob and Karen, made sure every detail of my stay was perfect. They even surprised me with a breakfast upgrade to bubbles and snacks. The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

The only minor drawback was the parking situation. I had to reverse all the way out, which was a bit tricky.

We had the most incredible stay at Flying Trout Boutique Lodge in Taupo. the hosts, Rob and Karen, were lovely and made us feel right at home. the luxurious room had beautiful unique fittings and the view of the lake was simply breathtaking. the breakfast was huge and delicious, with a great range of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, and beverages. We also loved the added touches like chocolates in the room and the snooker table and honesty bar in the lodge. the attention to detail was outstanding, and we left feeling relaxed and truly pampered. The hotel's décor was absolutely charming, with elegant furnishings and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and accessible for senior people, with comfortable seating and clear signage throughout. It was a pleasure to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be for the children working there to provide more assistance to senior guests with their luggage. It would be lovely to have some help carrying heavy suitcases or navigating the stairs, especially for those of us who may need a little extra support.
